Great weekend in the desert! It was a little cold camping in Virgin on Saturday night but we kept a big fire roaring before we went to bed. I was exhausted after the half marathon and then hiking Angels Landing after on Saturday. My fitness watch told me that I covered 21 miles that day! We took it easy on Sunday and hiked the Canyon Overlook trail in Zion, which is always a fun hike. We also saw some big-horn sheep on the trail which was cool. The next trip planned is Moab on March 17 for the Canyonlands Half Marathon and some more fun, stay tuned!
It’s currently dumping in Park City. It’s been a powder day the past two days but I have been glued to my computer at work – ya know that 8-5 thing. It’s still snowing and will throughout the weekend so it’s hard to pack up BUT it will put a smile on my face when I load up the bikes later today. My friend Caroline and I are headed down to Hurricane (HER-I-KIN) this weekend to run a half marathon that benefits an animal adoption center. After our race we are going to relax, camp, ride bikes, and do a few hikes in Zion National Park.
