I love mountain lakes and wildflowers! SO, my boyfriend and I did a date night at Albion Basin last weekend to check out the wildflowers and check Cecret Lake off of our bucket list. We drove over Guardsmans and down Big Cottonwood Canyon and up Little Cottonwood, so the drive itself was enjoyable.
Once we got to Alta, we parked at the dirt lot at the top of the dirt road. The hike is less than a mile each way and about 1.6 miles round-trip (from the top dirt parking lot). The hike is very similar to hiking Bloods Lake at Guardsmans Pass.
The wildflowers in Albion Basin at this time of year are SO beautiful. It was pretty busy because we went on a weekend, but it was worth it.
