Mid-Mountain Marathon // Park City

This year I ambitiously signed up for the Triple Trail Challenge 2015,  a 3-series event put on by Mountain Trails. The first event in the series was the Park City Half, the second was the Jupiter Steeplechase (an 18-miler to the top of Jupiter Peak and back down) and the last was Mid Mountain Marathon.

The Mid Mountain Marathon was my first and maybe last, but definitely the most beautiful marathon that I will ever run. I started out feeling great during the MMM, but with prior injuries my knee started to hurt around mile 18. I finished strong but had to run slower than I would have liked.

The MMM runs from Silver Lake at Deer Valley, to the base of the Canyons. 26.2 miles of single track, secluded in the Park City mountains, I couldn’t have asked for a better or prettier course. I frequently run or mountain bike on this stretch of trail and Park City is so lucky to have these trails in our backyard.
